Scientific Literacy – A Master Class with Prof. Daniel Segal

Modern academia has a serious, inherent, structural problem, it’s called “publish or perish” and it essentially means that academics have to constantly publish papers to sustain their livelihoods, leading to a prevalence of questionable science and even more questionable results. This attitude demands of us, as professionals who translate concepts to practice, to maintain and continuously develop our critical faculties.
It is for this reason that Harvey MedSoc, in collaboration with EMSA-Pavia and the Department of Molecular Medicine, is proud to present this 2 week-long master class on scientific literacy, lead by Prof. Daniel Segal from the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology in the University of Tel-Aviv.

So whether you are in the pre-clinical years and just starting off your academic career or starting your sixth year and about to write your thesis, this course should be highly beneficial for you.
